Blogroll
So I tried to get some ideas where I should go on the Couchsurfing Portal.
I just worte 10 Persons from Finnland a tiny little mail, with a little self description and some questions like:
Where should I go?
What should I see?
Do you want to get a coffee with me?
And yeah I was that stupid to write every single mail, personal and quite friendly (ok friendly….naaah).
These are the best answers I got:
“Hey Thomas,
die Antwortrate wäre bestimmt besser, wenn du keine
copy&paste emails schreiben wuerdest..”
“Next time better try, looser”
“No I have no time to host you”
“Can you read? I said I have not time to host you - stupid idiot”
“Helsinki? ah..oh…I should Update my profile”
“Copy and Paste this ashole:
Fu you!”
“I’ll probably be your worst tour guide ever (no joke),
but I would be able to take you to some clothing
stores and coffee shops (they seem to be crazy about
those here)haha..I don’t think I’ll be too helpful
otherwise.. sorry
Hope I wasn’t too much of a disappointment :)”
“Dear Thomas,
this is a brief note for my mobile phone.”
“Moi Thomas
I am traveling to Lapland from 1. to 7. december so
unfortunately I cannot meet you, but I can try to
answer your questions at least:)”
So some answers where nice, some useful, some just blabla but most of all the people don’t write back - it’s like a disposable-mail. Crazy
But the real Couchsurfing Blog never gives up and so I found someone who wrote back, friendly and helpful - but stay tuned for more on the Couchsurfing Blog.

sheesh

Weird. I thought couchsurfers use to be friendly. It’s not like you’d spam around or something.
But like everywhere in life, a little politeness seems too great a demand.
Have a good time in Helsinki, Thomas.
