I've had good times in Sweden and Denmark once. Can recommend Sweden in summer when I had a great vacation on a lake system with canoeing and hiking.
In winter i've only been to Denmark, Copenhagen in particular. A great city with an amazing nightlife (what you really need, because it's night most time of the day in winter ^^). Given the season I'd recommend Copenhagen. Really worth a visit.
