After a long long time I went out there on my first real vacation.
Destination was the Dominican Republic – as you maybe imagine it was a longer journey from Berlin to – finally – the Punta Cana.
Well I had a really good time there with many different impressions and mostly a relaxing vacation. I met there some Canadians, some French and of course many Dominican.
Finally I decided to write down my journey because it was such an crazy ride to Santo Domingo and of course such an impressive stay in my Resort.
Part 1 – The Cab Ride to the Airport (Berlin)
It was early in the morning when my cab arrived. The cab driver asked when my plan will start and started laughing when he heard that we had still more than an hour before i had to be at the airport. Then we made a little competition out of it, he bet he would drive me in 15minutes to the airport – i thought there is no way to do this. Sometimes life is strange it took us 14minutes to be at the airport.
He had so much fun driving me that fast and tricky to the airport he reduced my cab driving costs on 17€ (from 25€).
Part 2 – The unbelievable crowded Airport
At 5:30 am in the Morning the airport was unbelievable crowded. Especially at my check-in terminal for the flight to Madrid was a big line of humans. After I got my ticket I couldn’t go into the waiting room. I had to wait outside of the security controls, they were still closed. 10 Minutes before my flight actually would start a guy screamed behind the close door we all should directly after the security check run into the plane and opened the security controls.
Part 3 – Iberia Flight to Madrid
Iberia is a really funny company. The stewardesses are dressed in a way that remains me every time at the old Spanish flamenco dancers. Well of course they don’t speak English very well and of course not a little bit of German. So i had to speak Spanish – or more I had to try.
Part 4 – Madrid Airport
I’m still impressed of the Madrid Airport. This Airport is unbelievable big, well designed and most important it is an logical airport. Everywhere you can see signs. Funny depending of the gate on a sign there is a time-statement which tells you how long it will take to be at the gate.
I had a little bit time before my flight started so I walked a little bit through my terminal, got a coffee and talked to a strange Spanish guy.
Part 5 – Transatlantic Flight to Santo Domingo
At the Plane i got an seat at a window, next to me was an Dominican guy. We talked a little bit and after 3hours he opened his bag and took 2 bottles of rum out of it. So hell yeah I got terrible drunk at my flight, but it was an amazing funny flight. The Dominican, Fernando, and I became friends at the flight he will visit my some day in Germany and he is welcome.
Part 6 – Santo Domingo Airport
Sometimes words can’t describe something:
Did you like it so far?
Let me know it!
PS: Part 7-12 will follow soon.
In some of my last posts, i started the “Sex” Game - it was just for fun.
But in the comments there somebody told me that in the Couchsurfing Community are people who making a Dating Site out of the real Couchsurfing.
So i will take some investigations and let you know if i can uncover there the big problems.
Here the comment:
How would you personally feel if I told you that CS is leaving the
hospitality/cultural exchange concept behind to turn into some kind of
Adult dating website, no different from many other adult networks
where orgies, swingers and S & M gatherings are being promoted
constantly? What’s more all these activities are not only not ”moderated” but
encouraged by the local ambassadors and moderators, some of which
actually taking active part in said events and even telling those who
disagree with this kind of practice on CS to shut the **** up and mind
our own business. It seems now that the network we once joined to travel and get to know
people from all over the world along with their culture and
idiosincrasy has suddenly become a porn website without any previous
notice and those of us who do not actually agree with this new ”
trend” are slagged off and called all sorts of names from puritans to
narrow-minded just because we strongly believe this is NOT the place
for such activities-regardless of everyone’s sexual preferences which
of course do not concern us.What a pity, this seems to be the shape of things to come from now on
Best regards,
Juan

Sommer - Holland, Frankreich, Spanien
Herbst - Italien, Frankreich
Winter - Osteuropa, Italien
Interessant diese Aufteilung oder?
Was meinen die anderen Couchsurfer da draußen - habt ihr auch verschiedene Saisons feststellen können?
Oder bin ich einfach nur ein paranoider Couchsurfing Host?
Wer weiß…
So after my long timeout from couchsurfing i’m back as a host, at the 3.april i will host - again 2 girls from vienna. Then after a band from ireland….
But maybe someone can help me, the girls are searching for a shop called: “Onitsuka Tiger Shop” - and i really have no fucking idea what it is or where it is.
Any ideas for me?
Or some suggestions what I should do with my couchsurfing people?
So soon there will be more funny Couchsurfing Stories - i know it becouse it was always fun.
Stay tuned for the Couchsurfing Stories
Was meint ihr meien Couchsurfing Leute?
So after this long break - without beeing a real Couchsurfing Host my first Couchsurfers send me an request to get hosted again by me.
It was a difficult decission but - yeah i will host them.
Ok maybe it was little bit becouse they told me that they are 6 girls (imagine 6 girls in my flat - sounds like heaven
So yeah the Couchsurfing Host is back in Couchsurfing Business.
Oh and some words to Crashpadder - a few days ago I got an strange e-mail from crashpadder, ok more the subject was strange.
But we will see.
So stay tuned for more Couchsurfing stories.
Hi Couchsurfing people.
So today i will write about Ryanair - a well known cheap airline in europe.
Ryanair decided to fight against jason roe a blogger which found an error on their website.
They told him that he is stupid, a liar and so on.
But to make it more personal they talked about his mobile phone number and really tried everything to make sure that this guy will stop his writing. Also some employees of ryanair spoke about idiot bloggers.
Amazing what a Company does to have a good reputation - but more amazing how they fail.
If you wirte a comment on a blog it’s public, so after this comments for me ryanair is dead.
Maybe Ryanair should try to get a better website and not to hunt bloggers who showed them there mistakes.
Some companies until now don’t know what chance bloggers are - and so they try to hunt them down.
No way out - nothing more to say.
Stay away from Ryanair my Couchsurfing people! (Bloggerfeindlich)
Today i met some guys from the Berlin Couchsurfing Community - they have something in mind for the next weeks. A big deal they told me…so lets see what it will be
Stay tuned for more..
